Policy Position

Among the ideas that need strong consideration are:

Tougher consequences on prisoners for failure to live within the system,
Tougher sentencing and release guidelines,
Fixed sentencing for similar crimes
Increased clergy involvement,
Stiffer penalties on criminals who use a gun in the commission of a crime,
Possible implementation of California's "Three Strikes" law,
More prompt use of the Death Penalty (now in 39 states) for Capital Crimes
