Policy Position

I am passionate about decreasing crime in the State of Colorado and would like to see tougher consequences for criminals. Several areas that I believe should garner our attention are as follows:

• Tougher consequences for illegal aliens committing crimes


• Tougher consequences on prisoners for failure to live within the system


• Tougher sentencing and release guidelines


• Fixed sentencing for similar crimes


• Increased clergy involvement


• Stiffer penalties on criminals who use a gun in the commission of a crime


• Possible implementation of California's "Three Strikes" law


• More prompt and sure use of the Death Penalty (now in 39 states) for Capital Crimes
